Shiara Samarasinghe
Having closed some of Western Sydney Airport’s largest construction deals, Shiara is always up for a challenge and approaches each task with the goal of delivering the best outcome for the project and the community it will benefit.
Starting her career in the Australian Public Service, Shiara has had the opportunity to work across complex public policy areas with a wide range of stakeholders before embarking on the establishment of the Western Sydney Airport project.
Shiara is driven by integrity and honesty, adopting these qualities into everything she does. She has an innate ability to understand difficult issues, communicate effectively and collaborate with a broad range of people and groups to deliver successful outcomes. Her negotiation and delivery skills have also been honed through colourful debates with her toddler.
Working in predominantly male industries, Shiara is passionate about supporting women in their careers and empowering women to achieve their best and through her work on the airport project – the lynchpin for economic uplift and opportunity in the region - Shiara is proud to be delivering better outcomes for women in Western Sydney now and into the future.”
